Do I need a permit for a deck in Scarborough?

Scarborough is part of the City of Toronto, which requires a building permit for a deck more than 60 cm (24 in) above the ground. Lower decks don't need a building permit but still have to meet zoning, including setbacks from property lines.

How tall can a fence be in Scarborough?

Under the City of Toronto fence bylaw, a residential fence can be up to 2.5 m in the rear yard and 2.0 m in the side yard. In the front yard, the limit is 1.2 m within 2.4 m of the street and 2.0 m beyond that.

I'm on a corner lot. How tall can my fence be?
