    You get a written scope and price. If your deck or fence needs a permit or drawings, we tell you up front.

    Build

    Posts, footings and framing first, then boards, railings and gates. The site is cleaned up at the end of each day.

    Final walkthrough

    We walk the finished job with you and make sure everything is right before we call it done.

Deck questions

How much does a new deck cost?
Price depends on size, height off the ground, material, railings, stairs and how easy the yard is to reach. A low ground-level deck in pressure-treated wood sits at the lower end. A raised composite deck with glass railings and stairs sits at the top. Your written quote breaks the cost down line by line. See our deck cost guide for current ranges.
Can you put new boards on my old deck frame?
Sometimes. If the posts, beams and joists are sound and spaced correctly for the new boards, resurfacing saves money. If the frame is soft, loose or spaced too wide for composite, we'll show you and quote a rebuild.
Do I need a permit for my deck?
Most GTA cities require a building permit when a deck is more than about 60 cm (2 feet) above grade, and some also look at size and whether it's attached to the house. Zoning setbacks apply either way. We confirm the rules for your address.
When is the best time to build a deck?
Spring and summer book up first. Late summer and fall are good times to build, and planning over winter lets you lock in a spring start.
